Gene Ess New York, New York

Gene graduated with honors from Berklee and moved to New York. Gene recorded and toured worldwide with the late great drummer Rashied Ali (John Coltrane). During the course of these collaborative years, Gene played with Carlos Santana, Ravi Coltrane, Matt Garrison, Lonnie Plaxico, Archie Shepp, and Reggie Workman among others.
